ہم سب ایک طرح سے
ہیں    Faustus ڈاکٹر
کوئی اپنے شوق کی خاطر
اور کوئی کسی مجبوری سے بلیک میل ہو کر
اپنی روح کا سودا کر لیتا ہے
کوئی صرف آنکھیں رہن رکھوا کر
خوابوں کی تجارت شروع کر دیتا ہے
کسی کو سارا ذھن ہی گروی رکھوانا پڑتا ہے
بس دیکھنا یہ ہے
کے سکہ رائج الوقت کیا ہے
سو زندگی کی  واللسٹریٹ کا ایک جائزہ یہ کہتا ہے

آجکل خرید رکھنے والوں میں
عزت نفس ببہت مقبول ہے

In some way, we are all Dr. Faustus

Some trade their Soul

For their passion

While after getting blackmailed at hands of our circumstances

Some offer their eyes in collateral

To begin the sell-off of their dreams

Others have to barter their entire mind

The only thing to determine is what is Currency of the Era

Some analysis suggests that on the Wallstreet of Life

Today’s buyers are paying a premium price

For Self Respect.
