Schizophrenia, hopefully: Poem by Muneeb Tahir Saleemi
Schizophrenia, hopefully: Poem by Muneeb Tahir Saleemi
Dead tired,
sitting under a tree,
holding a pen and paper in my hand,
I saw a sudden splash on a paper.
I began to reckon:
Were tears from my eyes
indicating my griefs, sorrows, loneliness
and desire to spend
the very moment with someone,
putting my head on their shoulder?
or were it drops pouring down
from the branches of trees one by one
reflecting that
I am a worshipper of aestheticism?
or was it hallucination
and just my imagination depicting
I was utopist enough to escape the realities.
