Let us love you – English poem by Ali Rasheed
Let us love you – English poem by Ali Rasheed
Why would I ever say?
You are a labyrinth
When I have seen you
Silent in a shell, roaring ia an ocean
Residing in small and simple things
Why would I ever say?
You are impossible to seek
When I have seen you
Guiding me through the maze
The maze! We call “life”
Why would I ever say?
You live far above in the skies
When you are closer to me
More than my jugular vein
When you are right here among us
Why would I ever say?
I doubt your love
When I have felt you talking my hand
Examining me through beautiful hardships
But at the end bestowing upon me the best
Why would I ever say?
I love you for the lust of heavens
Or for the fears of hell
When I love you for everything you are
For both your simplicity and grandeur
Why would I ever say?
This world is a filthy place when I have seen you
In the coolest of blood and bloodiest of eyes
Let us all love you for both
Your blessings and hardships. Let us love you….
