Come And Perish By My Boot: Poem by Hibah Shabkhez
Come And Perish By My Boot: Poem by Hibah Shabkhez
Spider, spider, come and die,
Come and perish by my boot.
The foul viciousness I try
To hide from my fellow men
I shall now unleash upon
You. Malignant, malicious,
I shall for this deed be borne
Aloft and cheered, because you
Are an enemy declared
To me and those I call mine.
Yes, so declared by us; snared
By us, yes. But you shall pay
The slander’s price with your blood
If blood learns to sprout and spray
Forth from your twirling-twig frame
As you are stung, squished, and slain
Having taken life the same
Vile way, time and time again.
